These hatch into larvae that eat the fibre producing holes. A moth has a life cycle of three in which, the eating activity is done on a very large scale. In the three moth life cycle the female moth is known to lay up to three hundred eggs on an average. Now the concern arises about Storing knitwear?
Due to this extensive eating many holes get made in your favourite cashmere. It is only when winter comes that the owner of the sweater realizes that the favourite winter clothing which could be cardigans are actually full of holes.

Natural fibres make an excellent feed for the hungry larvae. Whether it is cotton, fur, feathers, silk, wool or linen, they can all be eaten by larvae when they are growing. To prevent them from destroying your woollen clothing certain precautions need to be taken. It the clothes are worn out, avoid keeping them into the wardrobe back as moths like hair and skin particles left behind.

Correct storage of out of season clothes will be needed just to make sure that the moths do not reach them. First wash the woollen garments or dry clean them properly, fold them for which a good folding plate can be used and then store them in a box that permits air circulation.

This box should be lined with tissue paper that is acid free or even a cashmere bag can be used. A product for repelling moths like moth balls can be used along with the garments when they are stored inside the wardrobe until they are removed for usage until the next cold season.

A bobbly look can at times be attained by cashmere. To treat this or to remove the bobbles a knitwear comb can be used. Unwanted hair and fluff can be easily removed by using a lint roller. Delicate woollen garments need to be washed with good quality laundry liquid. Hangers can be used for drying woollen clothes. Just a few tips need to be followed storing knitwear well.
